Mimetic Blue® 1 is a beaded, agarose based, adsorbent designed for the capture and purification of proteins derived from a variety of sources e.g. plasma, serum, recombinant cells. For example:
- Capture and purification of serum albumin and albumin related proteins such as recombinant albumin fusion proteins
- Cytokines (e.g. Interferons, Interleukins, Growth Factors), NAD+ cofactor dependent proteins (e.g. Alcohol and Lactate dehydrogenases)
- Screen for proteins/enzymes, ATP/IMP/GTD dependent proteins, dehydrogenases, kinases, synthases, transferases, cyclases, and polymerases
This family of ligands has exceptional specificity and yield highly purified protein. Unlike traditional textile dye adsorbents, Mimetic Blue® 1 adsorbent is highly stable, resistant to concentrated sodium hydroxide, exhibits negligible ligand leakage and is capable of maintaining high performance over a very large number of process cycles, even after prolonged storage in sodium hydroxide. Based on PBL's PuraBead® support matrix, Mimetic Blue® 1 adsorbent has excellent flow properties, near mono-disperse bead size and a high capacity for a variety of proteins. This product is manufactured in a controlled environment to ISO 9001 quality standard.

Suspension for column packing available in 25ml/100ml/500ml/1000ml;
Pre-packed columns (5×1ml) (for attachment to chromatography workstations);
PuraPlate™ (96 column plate for rapid antibody screening and purification method development).
