Mimetic Ligands™

PBL's range of Mimetic Ligand™ products are beaded, agarose based, adsorbents designed for the capture and purification of proteins derived from various sources e.g. plasma, serum, recombinant cells. This family of ligands has exceptional specificity and yield highly purified protein. Unlike traditional textile dye adsorbents, Mimetic Ligand™ adsorbents are highly stable, resistant to concentrated sodium hydroxide, exhibit negligible ligand leakage and are capable of maintaining their high performance over a very large number of process cycles, even after prolonged storage in sodium hydroxide. Based on PBL's PuraBead® support matrix, Mimetic Ligand™ adsorbents have excellent flow properties, near mono-disperse bead size and a high capacity for proteins. These products are manufactured in a controlled environment to ISO 9001 quality standard. They are used extensively in regulated large-scale manufacturing processes worldwide.
