Glycoprotein Separation
Aminophenylboronate P6XL is suitable for the affinity separation of a diverse range of macromolecules that contain 1,2-diols, 1,3-diols, 1,2-hydroxy acids and 1,2-hydroxylamines. These functional groups are present in carbohydrates, nucleic acids (nucleosides, nucleotides and RNA's), polyphenols (catechols, flavonoids), certain enzymes and glycoproteins. This adsorbent is particularly well suited to the purification of glycoproteins, or the removal of glycoprotein and carbohydrate impurities from non-glycosylated molecules (including glycoprotein antigens). PBL's Aminophenylboronate adsorbents are highly stable, resistant to concentrated sodium hydroxide, exhibit negligible ligand leakage and are capable of maintaining their high performance over a very large number of process cycles, even after prolonged storage in sodium hydroxide. Based on PBL's PuraBead® support matrix, Aminophenylboronate P6XL has excellent flow properties, near mono-disperse bead size and a high capacity. These products are manufactured in a controlled environment to ISO 9001 quality standard. They are used extensively in regulated large-scale manufacturing processes worldwide.
